After-School Theatre Making Club for Young People (Aged 8–13)

Creative sessions for young, curious and energetic minds!

Has your little one got a flair for performing, or just loves acting, dancing around, moving, and playing? The Theatre Making Club in Sneinton is the perfect after-school club for them to make new friends and let their imagination shine!

Every Wednesday, 4:30- 6pm, at the Greenway Centre, young people aged 8 - 13 can join a friendly group led by a professional Theatre Director, Laura Ryder, exploring storytelling, teamwork, and creative play, all leading towards making a brand-new performance on Saturday 8th February 2026 as part of  Nottingham Light Night.

And the best bit for busy families? After the session, everyone can stay for a hot meal at the Greenway Centre for just 50p.

Whether your child loves performing or just wants to try something new, this is a chance to make friends, have fun, and be part of something amazing!

Stage the City

The Theatre Making Club is part of Stage the City; an exciting new two-year project in Nottingham led by Nonsuch Studios! Thanks to a £150,000 Esmée Fairbairn grant, we're bringing a range of workshops to Bulwell, Sneinton, and The Meadows. Participants of all ages will craft and unleash new performances, sharing their unique stories and experiences from Nottingham. This project connects across communities and generations, culminating in a spectacular outdoor theatre event in Nottingham City Centre in 2027. Get ready for a surge of local creativity and stronger communities!
