Is this week for me?
Are you passionate about theatre, or want to find out more about how a professional production is made?
Are you looking for something to do during the October half-term?
Are you creative? A mover? A performer?
Are you serious about drama, acting, and theatre?
Want to go to Drama school? Want to Study Drama at A-level and beyond?
If you said yes to any of these questions, then the answer is YES!
Three Sisters by Anton Chekov, a 125-year-old (boring) Russian classic play that tells the story of the Three Sisters who sit at home talking about their dream to go to Moscow, but never at any point during the entire play actually go to Moscow. Join us for a week in October to help us answer the question of… What if these three sisters actually did something?! Working with Nonsuch Studios Associate Director Cat Giles for 5 jam-packed days, learn about Nonsuch Studios' devising process by being a part of the creation of Nonsuch Studios' newest production.
After this week in October, Cat Giles will then continue with 2 weeks of rehearsals with a professional cast before his new show Tours 5 schools in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire! This week will mean that the ideas of young people are at the heart of the creative theatre proccess, while you learn about theatre devising, you will also be actively inputting into a new professional show!
Through lots of physical theatre work, exploration and play, you will work together as a devising company to generate new work for the stage! On the final day, we will be joined by a lighting technician who will help us bring your work to life! We will pull everything that we have done together to a sharing on the main stage at 1 pm for Friends and Family to join!
Cat Giles is a Movement Director, Performer and Practitioner, working for both stage and screen.
