Tamily Cookson is the CEO of the Creative Quarter Company, the economic development agency for the creative and digital sector in Nottingham. In addition, the company has a role in placemaking for the Creative Quarter geography and supporting all businesses in the area that encompasses The Lace Market, Sneinton and Hockley, including Lower Parliament Street where Nonsuch Studios is based.
Tamily works with stakeholders on programmes and projects that encourage and support start-up, early growth and scaling up of creative and digital businesses in Nottingham. She also works alongside the employability teams at Nottingham’s academic institutions to ensure that opportunities for students and graduates to gain work experience and find employment in creative and digital businesses in Nottingham are plentiful. In addition. Tamily continues to advocate for the small business owners and independent organisations that makes the Creative Quarter a great place to live, learn, work and invest in.
