Madara Vimba is a Lincoln-based artist, curator, and data-driven marketer. Her career spans marketing roles with a range of creative organisations and festivals across Lincolnshire and the East Midlands, including The Lincoln Museum & Usher Gallery, Frequency Festival, SO Festival, and UK New Artists.
She has previously worked on major national initiatives supporting new artists, such as the Robert Walters UK New Artist of the Year Award at the Saatchi Gallery, and is particularly passionate about LGBTQIA+ and Central and Eastern European (CEE) representation in the Arts.
Madara is the co-director of BASE, a new project establishing artist-led studios and gallery in Lincoln and she is part of General Practice [gP], a non-profit DIY collective, project space and artist studios in the city.
As an artist, Madara has co-produced several multidisciplinary performances, one of which was with the Lincoln Company and took place at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019. She holds a BA (Hons) and an MA in Fine Art from the University of Lincoln.
