Nonsuch Studios is one of the boldest and most exciting arts organisations in the East Midlands. In just 13 years we’ve grown to become a unique and strategically important theatre company and creative arts charity, producing large-scale projects and productions across the UK.

We believe that CREATIVITY IS POWER and work across all our programmes to inspire cultural freedom through unlocking creativity and celebrating life.

As we look to the future, we’re shaping exciting plans to grow our producing capacity, further support the growth of arts and creativity across communities and help enable creative change for everyone we work with.

To further enable us to deliver our projects and programmes to the highest level and ensure we are the best organisation we can be, we’re looking for committed and skilled individuals to join our Charity’s Board of Trustees.

Becoming a Charitable Trustee

To be effective, Nonsuch Studios needs to understand a wide range of practices, sectors and perspectives. We are committed to maintaining a diverse Board which is regularly refreshed through a transparent and inclusive approach. Recruitment for our board members is on a rolling basis but we would like to recruit a number of new Trustees with specific experiences to support our work.

Please note Trustees are voluntary roles and receive no payment besides allowable expenses. This is a legal requirement of the role.

Benefits of joining the Nonsuch Studios Board include:

  • Engaging with key audience engagement in the arts and cultural sector
  • Developing a better understanding and deeper relationship with the sector
  • Helping to drive access and to develop more accessible and inclusive arts culture
  • Shaping a rapidly developing organisation and realise the potential of its local, regional and national role
